Fans eagerly awaiting Lainey Wilson‘s 2024 album, Whirlwind, were surprised to find her live favorite, “Bell Bottoms Up,” missing from the tracklist. On Friday (April 4), the Louisiana singer-songwriter finally made the infectious single available on streaming platforms. The spirited honky-tonk tune showcases Wilson’s traditional country roots and boundless charisma, while referencing her trademark bell-bottom fashion style. “I’m filling up these jeans, like I do my cup / Throw it back, throw it down / Bell bottoms up,” Wilson sings in the track’s rousing chorus. The song clearly carries some added significance to the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, as Wilson named her downtown Nashville bar Bell Bottoms Up. Whether “Bell Bottoms Up” is a standalone single or part of a forthcoming deluxe version of Whirlwind remains unclear, but fans can finally enjoy a studio version of a live favorite that won them over during Wilson’s high energy performances.
