IR Telemetrics produces a custom-made wireless system in the Upper Peninsula with its patented measurement system designed for pistons, gears, and shafts. Engineers receive back data that records a machine’s temperature, pressure, strain, and more. The company’s technology has been used around the United States and the globe. IR Telemetrics was founded in 1991 and has become a worldwide leader in wireless data transfer for reciprocating and rotating components. The company will now move into the second round of voting in the Michigan Manufacturers Association’s Manufacturing Excellence Award program for the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Michigan Award.
