Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and Feeding America partner for a fifth year in a row to bring a mobile food pantry to the western upper peninsula. On April 30th Copper Shores and Feeding America will organize a mobile food pantry in Ontonagon. The site has been home to a mobile food pantry in recent years, impacting food insecurity among the region’s seniors, families, children, and working people.
The food pantry will have volunteers from the Ontonagon Area School District and Ontonagon Village Fire Department available to pack a box into individual vehicles. The Mobile Food Pantry with Feeding America West Michigan will return throughout the year with dates scheduled in April, June, August, October, and December.
The Ontonagon Mobile Food Pantry organized by Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and Feeding America West Michigan will arrive at the Ontonagon Village Fire Hall at noon on April 30th.
