The Ewen-Trout Creek girls basketball team will play for a state title this morning. The Panthers (27-1) advanced with a 34-24 victory over Concord Thursday. They’ll will face Fowler (26-2) for the Division Four title at 10:00. The Eagles dispatched Genesee Christian 57-32 in their semifinal Thursday.

- In Division Three, Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest (21-6) will take on Ypsilanti Arbor Prep (16-12) at 4:00. The Crusaders advanced with a 43-38 win over Calumet Thursday. The Gators eliminated Niles Brandywine 31-29.
- In Division Two, Tecumseh (26-1) will meet Grand Rapids West Catholic (24-3) at 6:15. The Indians downed Frankenmuth 52-43 in yesterday’s semifinal. The Falcons ousted Detroit Edison PSA 54-48.
- In Division One, Belleville (27-1) and Rockford (27-1) will tip off at 12:30. The Tigers advanced with a 60-55 semifinal win over West Bloomfield yesterday. The Rams ousted Wayne Memorial 61-42.
Great Lakes Hockey League
The Calumet Wolverines wrapped up their regular-season schedule with an 8-1 rout of the Dane County Dairy Kings last night.
The Pioneers conclude their regular campaign against the Dairy Kings tonight at 7:30 at the Dee.
College Hockey
Minnesota State claimed the Central Collegiate Hockey Association tournament title last night, with a 4-2 victory over Saint Thomas. The Mavericks grab the CCHA’s automatic berth in the NCAA tournament. The full tourney field will be announced tomorrow.
NHL
The Red Wings visit the Golden Knights tonight. Coverage will begin at 7:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons dropped a 123-117 decision to the Mavericks last night. Cade Cunningham scored 35.

MLB
Half of the Tigers lost 4-0 to the Yankees yesterday. Keider Montero pitched into the fifth, and gave up one run. The other half of the Tigers blasted the Orioles 9-1. Tarik Skubal went six full innings, giving up a run and striking out nine.
The Tigers face the Braves today. Jack Flaherty will pitch against Reynaldo López.
The Brewers dropped a 16-9 slugfest to the Diamondbacks last night. Freddy Peralta pitched into the fourth inning, and was charged with 10 runs. .
The Brewers face the Athletics today. Jose Quintana will pitch against Jeffrey Springs.
