John Morgan‘s collaboration with Jason Aldean, “Friends Like That,” has climbed into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week. This marks the 29-year-old Morgan’s first ever Top 10 entry as a billed recording artist. The Sylva, North Carolina native co-wrote “Friends Like That” with Brent Anderson, Will Bundy, and Lydia Vaughn, and it was featured on Morgan’s 2023 EP, Remember Us?. The song was originally a solo cut, but it was redone to feature Aldean for radio release, earning the music superstar his 39th Country Airplay Top 10 hit. Meanwhile, Jelly Roll‘s “Liar” tops the chart for a fourth consecutive week, tying his longest reign at No. 1, which was set by 2023’s “Need a Favor.” “Liar” is also the first song by an artist with no other billed acts to top the Country Airplay chart for at least four weeks since Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” ruled for seven weeks in August-September 2024.
