Ernest has hinted at a potential collaboration with Post Malone and rapper BigXthaPlug, as the country star shared a carousel of studio photos on Instagram that he captioned, “Texas 🤝 Nashville.” Ernest is known for hits like “Flower Shops,” “Cowgirls,” and “I Would If I Could,” while also establishing himself as a go-to source for successful collaborations in country music, having worked on hit projects with Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson. While teasing this new project, Ernest is seen in the studio with Post Malone, BigXthaPlug, and producer Bandplay. This potential future collaboration follows Ernest’s vocal pairing with Post on “Devil I’ve Been,” while also getting multiple songwriting credits on Malone’s No. 1 album, F-1 Trillion. Ernest has also written hits for artists like Wallen, Florida Georgia Line, and Kane Brown. BigXthaPlug is also currently hinting at an upcoming country-themed project featuring collaborations with Wallen and Luke Combs, having previously paired up with crossover country superstar Shaboozey on “Drink Don’t Need No Mix.” (Billboard)
