An important act citizens take every day has people speaking their minds. On Saturday, ahead of President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20th, the People’s March will have thousands of people gather in Washington D.C. Around the nation the march will also see residents march in their local communities. The march has been organized nationally by the Women’s March Network. Locally the League of Women Voters of the Copper Country plan to host the People’s March in Houghton. The celebration of the Constitution and Bill of Rights will begin at Bridgeview Park, then walk across the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. The march will begin at 1 pm.
