The Village of Hubbell will undergo a boil advisory starting today.
Due to a water main break between 11th and B Avenue the Village of Hubbell will remain under a precautionary boil advisory until samples show no evidence of bacterial contamination. The Upper Michigan Water Company will have a crew in the area to assist with work.
A second notice will be published to notify residents when the boil advisory has been lifted. When the boil advisory lifts Hubbell officials suggest to flush all taps for approximately 10 minutes.
To kill any forms of bacteria while under the boil advisory residents should bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of 1 minute. And let cool before using.
