Michigan Technological University’s new dorm will be ready to welcome new students in about one year. Works continue to move along at a steady and on-time pace. The University recently announced the East Hall construction project has completed utilities, foundation work, roofing, and exterior and interior framing. The new dorm hall will have 150 suite-style dorms when opened in the Fall of 2025. The suite will feature single and double occupancy bathrooms, with semi-private baths, as well as study lounges, communal kitchen space, adaptable meeting rooms, and a convenience store for students. The project will begin work to complete the exterior masonry façade, preparation for metal wall panels, windows, mechanical, plumbing, electrical rough-in, and insulation work.
